    Intentional Faith Development Opportunities

     

     

     

      

     

    If you are new or just getting started at Garfield Memorial Church, our recommendation is to start with our three foundational courses, called the CORE3:

     

     

     

    • Connect: (8 weeks):  Understand key hallmarks of the Christian life according to scripture- plus become a church member at the conclusion if you wish.  Fall 2011

     

     

    • Ministry By Strengths (8 weeks):  Connect with God’s specific ministry dreams for your life through your strengths, life experiences and faith. New groups: Thursdays starting May 12 (7PM) and Sundays starting May 22 (5pm)

     

     

    • ReGroup (5 weeks):  Learn all about small groups (Journey Groups), experience small group community, and get connected to a Journey Group. Mondays starting May 2 (7PM).     2011 COMMUNITY FESTIVALS!  Garfield Memorial Church will have a booth at the Orange Jubilee, May 20 & 21, as well as a booth at The Solon Home Days, July 28-31.  Stay tuned for more information!

     

    Save the Date!  Vacation Bible School is coming to Garfield Memorial Church July 25th!  Our Vacation Bible School is guaranteed to give your child a week of fun and laughs, while sharing God’s Gospel of love!  Every evening children will be immersed in a fantastic world filled with new things to see, new songs to sing, and amusing games to play, and of course a kid-friendly meal!  Mark your calendars and tell your friends because summer will be here before we know it! Cost $20 per child, $50 max per family. 

     

    Coming in late August, a rollicking end of summer Jam for children and youth!  Look for more information on both of these summer events coming soon! 

     

     

     

    MINISTRY BY STRENGTHS is an 8-week journey to help us reflect on how God has designed all of us to serve.  We will be utilizing Gallup's bestselling StrengthsFinders 2.0 to  gain a better understanding of your God-given strengths and talents, and how God may be calling you to utilize those to change the world!  Cost: $20.00 (you’ll receive resource at the class) Childcare available on request.  Classes are held Wednesdays 7:00-8:30 pm, or Sundays 5:00 - 6:30.  To learn more about these or other opportunities for Intentional Faith Development see brochure available in kiosk or information areas or contact Pastor Terry, 216.831.1942 x 22, terry@garfieldchurch.org.
